DCE aspirant pledges to enhance security in Krachi Nchumuru District

Dambai (O/R) Jan. 30, GNA – Mr Ibrahim Mumuni, aspiring District Chief Executive (DCE) for Krachi Nchumuru District, has pledged to strengthen security in the area by building more Police posts across various communities.

Mr Mumuni explained that the lack of adequate Police presence in rural areas has contributed to the increasing crime rate.

He said establishing more Police posts, the aspirant believes that response times to emergencies will be improved, and criminals will be deterred from committing crimes.

He again assured to prioritise the improvement of infrastructure deficits in the district if given the chance.

Mr Mumuni told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that, the district is facing significant challenges in terms of Infrastructure, including poor roads, inadequate healthcare facilities and insufficient educational Infrastructure.

He noted that these deficits are hindering the socio-economic development of the district and affecting the livelihoods of residents.

Speaking with the GNA after vetting at the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC), he outlined a compressive plan to address the infrastructure deficits, including rehabilitating and constructing new roads to improve transportation networks.

Upgrading healthcare facilities and providing modern medical equipment, building new schools, and renovating existing ones to provide quality educational Infrastructure.

“I am committed to work tirelessly to address the infrastructure deficits in our district, we need to improve our roads, expand our healthcare facilities, provide our children with conducive learning environment, this is essential for the growth and development of our district.
