Dambai Health Centre welcomes first baby of 2025

Dambai (O/R), Jan 1, GNA-The Dambai Health Centre in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti region Wednesday dawn recorded its first birth of the New Year, with a baby girl delivered at exactly 0200 hours.  

 Ms Mary Owusu, a midwife at the facility, said the baby’s arrival marked a special moment for the health centre and the family.  

“It was a moment of joy and celebration for us all, the baby’s arrival at the early hours of the new year was a perfect way to start 2025,” she said.  

Madam Kande Nyande, the grandmother of the baby, was overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her grand daughter.  

Madam Kande, who was present at the facility to support her daughter during labour, said she was filled with emotions as she held her newborn grandchild in her arms for the first time.  

“As the world welcomes the new year, the arrival of the baby serves as a reminder of the joy and hope that a new life brings.”  

She commended the medical team for their professionalism and care during the process.  

“The nurses and doctors were very kind and helpful throughout the entire process, we are grateful for their hard work and dedication,” she added.  

The Dambai Health Centre has been providing quality healthcare services to the community, and the arrival of the first baby of 2025 is a testament to its commitment to delivering excellent care.
