Koluedor-Ada, Jan. 06, GNA – Mr Anthony Yaw Klokpah, the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ada West District, has advised Ghanaians to put politics aside and unite to develop the nation, as the time for politicking is over.
Mr Klokpah who was the first DCE for the area, said every government that took power was for the good of all Ghanaian and not for political parties.
He said the President-elect was not for only the National Democratic Congress (NDC) but for all Ghanaians, hence the need to embrace unity and cooperation, to foster development.
He expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian electorate for peacefully electing a new President contrary to the war, violence, and civic unrest predicted by experts and politicians ahead of the Election 2024.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the former DCE noted that many politicians deliberately propagate lies against their opponents ahead of elections as part of strategies to win power, stating further that, “now that the politics is over, everybody needs to come on board for development.”
He asked Ghanaians to develop new mindsets as they step into a new era, entreating all to put aside every challenge and difference and rather have new visions and strong determination to succeed.
“As we step into the new year, we need to put behind us all things that frustrated our individual developments, develop new ideas and strategies and work as one people for a common developmental objective,” he urged.
He advised the youth to be instrumental in developing their respective electoral areas, districts, and the nation.
