Keta (VR), Jan 1, GNA – Christians in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region has been urged to keep faith and hope in God rather than in man and pray without ceasing for a successful 2025.
Evangelist Prosper Gbogbogah, the leader of Alta of Jesus Christ Ministry International, Keta, during the December 31 crossover sermon, said all believers should be one another’s keeper and provide support when the need arose.
“As we enter a new year, it’s easy to get caught up in worries and fears about what the future holds but I want to remind you that our God is a God of hope and promise,” he said.
“He is the same God who has been faithful to us in the past, and He will continue to be faithful to us in the future.”
Evangelist Gbogboga reminded the congregation that faith is the foundation of the Christian life, and all must trust in God’s goodness and provision, even during challenges and uncertainties.
He emphasised the importance of perseverance and endurance in Christendom and encouraged the congregation to be committed to their faith, even in difficulties.
“Faith is not just a feeling or an emotion, is it a choice and It is a decision to trust in God, no matter what. And I want to encourage you to make that choice every day, to choose to trust in God and to keep your faith in Him.”
As the world bid farewell to 2024, Evangelist Gbogboga delivered a powerful message to a large congregation who had gathered to pray and reflect on the past year.

The sermon was followed by prayers and worship, as the congregation sought God’s blessing and guidance for the new year.
As the clock struck midnight they erupted in cheers and applause celebrating a fresh beginning with much hope.
