Accra, Jan 3, GNA – The Independence Square and surrounding areas are awash in vibrant hues of red, yellow, green, and black as the country prepares for the historic inauguration of the President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama, and his running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
Scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2024, the grand ceremony at the iconic Independence Square is already drawing attention with its stunning transformation and meticulous preparations.
The square, a symbol of Ghana’s rich heritage and unity, is at the heart of the celebrations.
Areas surrounding it have been draped in the national flag’s bright colors, creating a spectacle that reflects the spirit of patriotism.
The Ghana News Agency captured the energy on the ground during a visit to the venue Friday morning.
Workers, clad in reflective vests, were seen installing elaborate decorations and assembling large seating areas.
The air buzzed with activity as organizers coordinated logistics, ensuring every detail aligns with the grandeur expected of such a national event.
