Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/R), Dec. 24, GNA – The Western North Regional Health Directorate has held a day’s sensitization training for major stakeholders in the health sector on the Network of Practice policy guidelines by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The Network of Practice has equity, patient centeredness, quality of care, strengthened referral systems, community engagement and continuous learning and adaptation among others as its goals and objectives.
Dr Godfred Kwabena Sarpong, the Western North Regional Director of Health, in a welcoming address, at Wiawso, said the Network of Practice was an avenue to address health issues, and aimed at identifying avenues that would strengthen healthcare delivery especially in hard-to-reach communities through the sub-district level.
He entreated the stakeholders to collaborate with the appropriate state institutions to ensure better healthcare delivery systems within the region.
He used the opportunity to appeal to a regional hospital and a medical store to support the successful implementation of the network of practice.
Mr Suleman Ali, Acting Western North Regional Co-ordinating Director, lauded the Network of Practice initiative and called for easy access to healthcare delivery for residents in the region.
He further asked traditional authorities to join the appeal for a new regional hospital to help cater for the healthcare needs of the people.
