Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/R), Dec. 07, GNA – Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, says the chiefs and people of the area are ready to cooperate with and support any of the Presidential Candidates who wins the General Elections to lead the nation.
“We are ready to accept the outcome of the election,” the Paramount Chief, also the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs in an interview with the media after casting his ballot at the Queen Mother’s Polling Station Center “One” at Dormaa-Ahenkro.
Accompanied by Barimah Yaw Oppong Boabasa, the Gyaasehene (sub-chief) of the Traditional, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II arrived very early in the morning to cast his ballot at the center.
He said it was the sacred duty of the security personnel, particularly the police, to ensure that the elections were conducted peacefully, devoid of violence and asked them to remain professional.
Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II condemned reports of alleged military officers interfering in the voting process in parts of the country and urged those involved in that unprofessional behaviour and misconduct to refrain from those practices for the nation to sail through a peaceful election.
He stated that the unfortunate incident that happened at Techiman in the Election 2020 where some people lost their precious lives must not be repeated and cautioned against any form of intimidation to disenfranchise eligible voters from exercising their rights.
