Prestea Huni-Valley constituency: Wisdom Cudjoe retires Mincom board chairperson

Bogoso (W/R), Dec. 09, GNA – Mr Robert Wisdom, the Member of Parliament (MP) elect for Prestea Huni-Valley constituency, has retired Mrs Barbara Oteng Gyasi, the Board Chairperson of the Minerals Commission in the Election 2024.  

Mr Cudjoe secured 46,792 votes to retain this seat for another team, while Mrs Gyasi on the had 30, 395 votes, and Mr Eric Oduro Hammond, polled 131 votes.  

Mrs Gyasi made history as the MP of Prestea Huni-Valley constituency from 2017 to 2021 and has since been battling to occupy the seat but has lost for the second time.  

The total votes cast were 79, 096, total valid votes 78, 318, with 778 rejected ballots, 778.  

Mr Alfred Bismark Acheampong, the Returning Officer for the Electoral Commission gave out the certified results and declared Mr Cudjoe as the newly elected MP for Prestea Huni-Valley constituency.  

Mr Cudjoe in his victory address expressed appreciation to his constituents for believing in his vision and giving him another opportunity to serve them.  

He pledged his commitment to work hard to address the needs of residents in his constituency and also fight for issues that mattered most to them to help build a brighter future for all.
