Polling agents from the two main political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), were on hand to inspect the materials before the seals were broken.
Security personnel were stationed at various locations to maintain order during the process.
Madam Bernice Buabeng Acquah, the Presiding Officer, reported that voters were following the necessary procedures to ensure a smooth election.
She expressed optimism that turnout would increase as the day progressed, despite a modest number of early voters.
