Nkotompo (W/R), Dec. 29, GNA – The Nazareth and Essaman societies of the Methodist Church in the Western Region have hosted their congregations to a feast of love and fellowship to cement the bond of the Christian faith.
The two churches, under the leadership of the Reverend Seth Williams, treated their members to varieties of drinks and foods; local and continental, while they danced to soul-soothing music.
Many of the members were seen dancing their hearts out to celebrate the goodness of God in the year 2024.
Rev Williams said it was part of the church’s mission to break bread occasionally, as Christ did in the Last Supper, to demonstrate fellowship.
“As a family and the future of the Church, there was the need for both parents and children to live responsibly to fulfill God’s purpose unto humanity,” he said.
Rev Williams, thus, urged parents to be firm in the training of their children, ensuring discipline and principles were upheld, while advising the child to be obedient and abide by the laid down principles to grow into responsible adults.
He urged the congregation to be steadfastly in their faith, not yielding to the pressures of the times, but surrender entirely to God to supply all their needs.
“Showing love to humanity is cardinal in the Christian Faith,” he said.
“2025 presents many opportunities for the believer who will pray more earnestly and seek the face of God in all things”.
