Accra, Dec. 26, GNA – The Nationalism Park has been opened to the public with a call on Ghanaians to reflect on the values of patriotism, togetherness and progress.
The opening marks a historic moment in the celebration of unity, cultural pride, and national heritage as part of the “December in GH” activities.
The Nationalism Park is a collaborative effort of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, and the National Security to transform the site into a world- class tourist destination
A statement issue to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said the Park “is a one-of-a-kind space, designated to honour the rich tapestry of our nation’s history, showcasing the evolution of our identity, resilience and the collective dreams of our people.
“It provides a space for dialogue, education and celebration, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.”

Nationalism Park is a site for national, community and social cohesion, where we can all come together as Ghanaians and celebrate our past heroes and leaders”.
The Park features a city lighting park, two monuments celebrating Nii Kwabena Bonnie III and our national pride represented by an egg on rocks, a restaurant, a snack bar, a children’s play area, and other attractions.
Additionally, the park will increase tourist footfall by driving local economies, creating jobs and spurring hospitality activities in the surrounding areas.
Nationalism Park is located between Independence Square and the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Park opens from 0900 hours to 2200 hours on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 1000 hours to 2200 hours on Sundays.
Charges range from GHC20.00 for adults, GHC 10.00 for tertiary students, GHc 5.00 for school children.
For night events the park charges GHC 2,500.00 for 100 participants for the first two hours, while it charges GHC 2,000.00 for day events for 100 participants for the first two hours. Additional hours goes for GHC500.00.
