Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), Dec. 4 GNA – Rev. Richard Mawufemor Agbi, In Charge of the Global Evangelical Church, Adaklu Kodzobi Wednesday called on Ghanaians to make “Ghana the winner” of the December 7 General elections.
“Ghana is bigger than any political party, so any party that wins the elections should be seen as a win for Ghana,” he said.
Rev. Agbi made the call in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency at Adaklu Kodzobi in the Adaklu district.
He stated that this could only be achieved “if we see ourselves as one nation, one people with a common destiny.”
Rev. Agbi reiterated the need for Ghanaians to jealousy guard and protect their God given peace, which he said was the envy for many nations, during and especially after the elections.
“Let us all see this as our Civic responsibility to the nation and posterity, as Ghana is the only country we have,” he said.
He reminded those beating the war drums of the devastating effects of war and called on the youth to consider their future and not allow themselves to be used to destroy the nation.
Rev. Agbi noted that nobody could govern a country ravaged by instability and chaos and advised politicians to refrain from hate speech and misinformation.
He called for tolerance after the elections and advised the leadership of the party that would win the elections to restrain their supporters from celebrating their victory in a provocative manner in order to protect the unity of the country.
Rev. Agbi reminded all Christians that it was their civic responsibility to take part in the Electoral process and not relent in their efforts to pray for a peaceful election.
