Ho, Dec 7, GNA – Scores of enthusiastic voters have milled up at some designated voting centres in readiness to cast their ballot when polls open at 0700 hours in parts of Ho.
The electorates in the queues between 0500 hours and 0645 hrs on polls day, indicated they have some engagements in the day and would want to cast their ballot early to enable them attend to their personal issues.
Others say their early bird approach stemmed from their zeal to make their Presidential and Parliamentary candidates victorious at the crucial polls.
At the RC Primary School, ‘A’ and ‘B’ polling centres, the Ghana News Agency witnessed scores of enthusiastic voters waiting to have their turn in long queues.
The situation is similar to the cluster of polling centres at the Ho Kpodzi E. P. JSS A, which host five centres, 1A, 1B and 1C in addition to Centre 3, which has centre A and B, all carrying long queues.
The officials of the Electoral Commission were seen completing formalities while security officials and party agents were visible.
Madam Emelia Akortia, Ho Municipal Director of EC indicated her Office is fully set for the commencement of polls and urged the electorates to demonstrate their resolve to maintain the peace while they cast their ballots to elect their leaders.
