Aiyinasi (W/R), Dec 07, GNA-The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah cast his ballot at the Aiyinasi Post Office as of 0720 hours after going through the electoral process.
Speaking to journalists later, the MP who is contesting the Parliamentary seat for the fifth time, expressed optimism of retaining his seat and a landslide victory for former President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Kofi Buah asked the people of Ellembelle and Ghanaians to see the election as crucial to reset the country onto the path of economic recovery to better the living standards of the people.
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate said the victory of the NDC in the elections would mark a turning point in the life of Ghanaians as it would liberate them from poverty, misery, hardships, galamsey, corruption among others.
He said the NDC party would only accept credible results and urged the Electoral Commission to be fair to all parties in the electoral process.
The Returning officer at the polling station, Mr Gilbert Kwaw said 15 eligible voters had cast their ballots out of 405 registered voters as of 7:20 am.
