Afienya, Dec. 30, GNA – The JILCE International University and Seminary has held its ninth graduation, which is also the eighth ordination ceremony, with a call on institutions to equip students with skills for the job market.

Professor Boison Boateng Nuamah, the Founder and President of the university, said most of the youth around Afienya, Tema, and its environs were unemployed, adding that research conducted by the institution revealed that they were unemployed due to lack of skills.

Prof. Nuamah said the institution had the requisite registration and accreditation to run nine courses under the National Vocational Technical Institute (NVTI) and other courses for which certifications were awarded by affiliate universities.

He said 15 students graduated with master’s and first degrees in various programmes, adding that the courses equip the students with practical skills, empowering them to start their businesses after graduation.

Mr. Elias Kledo, a biostatistics graduate, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the course helped him to analyse data and advised the youth to challenge themselves and take their education seriously.

He further encouraged the youth to be productive while urging the physically challenged not to limit themselves because of their condition but rather to pursue their dreams and higher academics.
