Kasoa (C/R), Dec. 07, GNA – Mrs Phillis Naa Koryo Akunor, the Parliamentary Candidate for the Awutu-Senya-East Constituency, has expressed optimism to about 67.9 per cent in the elections.

Engaging journalists after she had cast her ballot, the Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said she was confident that the Party would win in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.

Mrs Akunor said she had garnered enough experience and would ensure previous mistakes were corrected.

She however, expressed satisfaction with the process and hoped it would continue till the close of polls.

“So far, I think the process has been smooth and peaceful. And with the number of security personnel deployed I hope things move on as we are experiencing because we are all craving for peace.”

In all, voting is going on smoothly in 314 polling centers in the Awutu Senya East Constituency and about 173,989 are expected to vote.
