Ho MCE highlights achievements during three-year tenure

Ho (V/R), Dec. 4, GNA – Mr. Divine Bosson, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has outlined significant achievements during his three-year tenure, emphasising the rapid development witnessed in the Municipality and under the eight-year tenure of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Speaking at a press soirée on Tuesday, Mr Bosson detailed accomplishments in various sectors, including education, health, security, infrastructure, and housing, positioning Ho as a growing hub of development in the Volta Region.

He gave a power-point presentation of the achievements, which include Market Infrastructure and Economic Growth-Construction of over 120 new market shops with auxiliary facilities in the Ho Central Market, as well as installation of fencing around the market to enhance security and improve the trading environment.

On Road, new networks were constructed and old ones saw rehabilitation of multiple roads within the Municipality to improve connectivity.

Others are the completion of a new Assembly complex, along with the fencing of the Assembly premises.

Water and Sanitation, Mr Bosson demonstrated the drilling of more than 20 boreholes in communities lacking access to potable water, significantly enhancing water supply in rural areas.

On Security Enhancement, a new Police station was built at Tokokoe, which will soon be upgraded to serve as a district Police headquarters with Education benefiting a six-classroom block for Atikpui Basic School as well as distribution of more than 1,500 desks to various schools across the Municipality, aimed at enhancing learning outcomes.

A new area is the development of affordable housing and Public Service Infrastructure for workers and construction of a new MCE bungalow, to improve the Municipal leadership’s operational efficiency.

Mr. Bosson called on residents to recognize the tangible development achievements and reward the NPP government’s dedication by voting to retain the party in power and electing him as the Member of Parliament for Ho Central.

“I urge the citizens of Ho to look beyond party affiliations and focus on the progress we have achieved together,” he said, emphasizing that development should take precedence over political colors.

Mr Frank Ahaze, Ho Central NPP Chairman, urged the media to publicise the MCE’s accomplishments widely and stressed that the upcoming parliamentary election should centre on development rather than partisan loyalty.

“Let the people know that the future of Ho Central lies in continuing this developmental agenda. Voting should be about progress, not party colors,” Mr. Ahaze stated.

The press soirée was attended by media personnel, NPP executives from Ho Central, and council elders of the party, who expressed optimism about the Municipality’s continued development under Mr. Bosson’s leadership, which has catapulted the enclave of a Metropolitan status.
