GFA appoints new Coach for Black Princesses 

Accra, Dec. 30, GNA – Charles Sampson has been appointed new Head Coach of the National Under-20 Female team, the Black Princesses.  

The new Coach would lead the team to the 2025 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup qualifiers. 

Coach Sampson is a Ghanaian ex-international footballer, who played for various clubs in Greece and Sweden.  

Coach Simpson, 44, also featured for the Ghana U20 national team. 

He began his playing career with GHAPOHA FC in the Ghana Premier League before moving to Greece where he had stints with Kalamata FC, Apollon Kalamarias, OFI Crete, Panegialios and Fostriras. 

Sampson joined Swedish side Assyriska Föreningen in 2004 where he helped the club earn promotion to the Allsvenskan and play in the league the following season.  

He later had stints with Bodens BK, IFK Lulea, Syrianska Botkyrka and finally to Afrikansk. 

Following his successful playing career in Sweden, Sampson began a coaching career with Assyriska United Girls U15 side before managing Swedish Women’s League side Telge United FC. 

Before his appointment, Charles Sampson was one of the Assistant Coaches of the Black Queens, the senior Female national team. 

Fiifi Parker Hanson, currently Head Coach at Golden Kicks FC, joins Anita Wiredu-Mintah, who has been an Assistant Coach with the Princess, to assist Coach Sampson as a second Assistant Coach.
