Adidome (V/R), Dec 04. GNA – Mr Confidence Abotsi, the former Central Tongu constituency Chairman has intensified his campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections on Saturday, December 7.

Mr Abotsi, a two-term constituency chairman and member of the NDC’s Employment and Job Creation Committee, told the Ghana News Agency that he would play integral roles to recapture power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Abotsi engaged constituents in various communities, markets, and apprenticeship shops, outlining the NDC’s “Reset” agenda as part of his contribution to recapture power.

He emphasized the need for voters to bring back the NDC and reject the NPP, citing the ruling party’s failure in every department of the Ghanaian economy.

Mr Abotsi outlined the NDC’s plan to establish a Women’s Development Bank, providing low-cost and easy-to-access loans for women to expand their businesses in the constituency.

He also highlighted the party’s commitment to universal primary healthcare, pension for the informal sector, and free National Apprenticeship Programmes (NAP) for artisanal work.

He assured the farmers in the district of the NDC’s plan to establish Farmer Service Centres, providing prompt and low-cost services, inputs, and information on new farming techniques.

The former Chairman also engaged students in various schools in the constituency and promised a better-managed Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme, free fees in the first year of tertiary education, and enhanced student loans under the NDC.

“The NDC plans to bring legal reforms to roll out a 24-hour economy, increasing job spaces and productivity. The NDC administration would scrap the Betting Tax within the first 120 days,” he added.

He has also taken his campaign to the Fulani-dominated communities, addressing concerns about the Women’s Development Bank and assuring them of a fair and non-discriminatory process.
