Dormaa-Ahenkro, (Bono), Dec. 27, GNA – Fifteen (15) babies were born at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital in Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region during the festive season.

During a visit around town, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that seven babies, including four boys and three girls were delivered on Boxing Day December 26 at the Presbyterian Hospital. They included a set of twins.

On the Eve of Christmas December 24, the facility welcomed four babies made up of a boy and three girls.

Additionally, two boys and two girls were also born at the facility on Christmas Day December 25.

In an interview, Madam Lovia Konama, a Midwife at the maternity ward of the hospital, she told the GNA that all the new-borns and their mothers were in good and stable condition.

Only a baby was delivered through Caesarean Section, she stated, and advised pregnant women to attend ante-natal clinics to improve their health and that of their unborn babies.

Madam Konama also asked them to endeavour to rush to the nearest health facility when they were in labour for skilled delivery and also to enable the health workers to immediately attend to labour-related complications.
