Kete-Krachi (O/R), Dec. 9, GNA-Krachi West Constituency’s Member of Parliament-elect, Madam Helen Adjoa Ntoso, has assured her constituents of increased job opportunities under the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s 24-hour economy policy.
Speaking after her re-election in the just-ended 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, Madam Ntoso described her victory for jobs, particularly for the youth of the constituency.
The veteran legislator, who has represented Krachi West since 2012, secured her seat with 13,169 votes out of the 24,249 valid votes cast across 86 polling stations and one special voting center.
She defeated her closest competitor, Mr. Justice Amankwa Mensah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who garnered 10,934 votes. Mr. Charles Bisi Gyagbuja of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) polled 946 votes, while 264 ballots were rejected.
Addressing a gathering at her residence in Kete-Krachi, Madam Ntoso reiterated her commitment to creating job opportunities for the youth.
She emphasized that the NDC’s 24-hour economy initiative would drive significant economic activities and improve livelihoods in the constituency.
“The 24-hour economy policy means everyone will have the opportunity to thrive. ‘Obiaa bɛ didi’ (everyone will eat),” she remarked.
Madam Ntoso expressed gratitude to her constituents for their unwavering support and pledged to continue her efforts to uplift the lives of the people in Krachi West.
