Accra, Dec. 07, GNA – Voting is ongoing peacefully at some polling stations visited by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in the Trobu Constituency in the Ga North Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
At the time of the visit around 1000 hours, the electorate who were in queues at the Ampas Hotel, SDA Church, and the Methodist Church Polling Stations at Pokuase, were patiently waiting to cast their votes.
The atmosphere was calm as security officers and election observers were positioned at vantage points observing the process.
Speaking with the GNA, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu and Madam Portia Owusu, Polling Officers of the Electoral Commission (EC) at Ampas Hotel and the SDA Church respectively said so far everything was proceeding peacefully as the process began exactly at 0700 hours.
Mr. Ebenezer Amevor, a Polling Officer of the EC at the Methodist Church Centre said they were coordinating and assisting in segregating the electorate since the centre is a cluster of polling stations.
