Accra, Dec. 7, GNA – Voter turnout at some polling stations in the Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region was quite impressive despite disruptions.
As of 5:40 pm some polling stations had still not closed the polls , a grace period of over 30 minutes was given for electorate who were not able to vote before 5:00 pm to vote due to the late start of polls and the rains.
A total of 1,076 out of 1,763 votes were cast at the M/A Primary Manhean 1, 1A,2 and 2B as of the end of polls at 5:01 pm.
At the Great Rock Redeemer Church Manhean 1,2,3 and 4 polling stations, 1,036 out of 1,763 expected votes were cast.
Similarly , polls ended at 5:10 pm at the Transformer Oduman 1 and 2 polling stations with 556 votes cast out of 953 expected votes.
Voting ended at the Sapeiman Primary A and B polling stations, with both centres, recording significant voter turnout.
At Polling Station A, 670 voters out of the registered 1,207 cast their ballots.
Polling Station B saw a similar turnout, with 646 voters, participating out of the registered 1,247 voters.
As the voting phase concluded, expectant voters and party representatives begun gathering around the polling stations to witness the vote counting process.
