Anloga (V/R), Dec. 1, GNA – A total of 60,432 registered voters are expected to participate in the December 7 general election in the Anlo Constituency of the Volta Region.

The number, including first-time voters, will cast their ballots for the presidential and parliamentary candidates at 144 polling stations across the constituency.

The Shime area will host 28 polling stations, Kome will have five, while the rest are distributed at the littoral, including Tegbi, Woe, Anloga, Srogboe, Dzita, and Anyanui.

Additionally, 550 special voters, comprising electoral officials, security and media personnel are scheduled to vote on Monday at the Anloga District Police Station.

Mr Felix Hommey, the Anloga District Electoral Officer, confirmed these figures to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) and assured that the Commission was prepared for the elections.

“We have received all necessary materials for both the special voting on December 2 and the general election. These materials have been securely stored, and we are ready to manage the entire process,” he said.

Despite identifying 20 potential flashpoints, Blemeazado and Kportorgboe electoral areas, as well as two polling stations at Woe Bave and four at Dzita, Mr Hommey said the collaboration with security agencies would ensure a smooth electoral process.

Preparations in Anlo are in full swing as constituents are looking forward to exercising their democratic rights.
