Elder Kyeremeh captures Berekum East Constituency Seat for NDC

Berekum, (Bono), Dec. 8, GNA – Elder Simon Ampaabeng Kyeremeh, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Berekum East Constituency snatched the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Nelson Kyeremeh.

In parliamentary election results, certified by the Electoral Commission (EC) Elder Kyeremeh polled 23,476 votes to unseat the incumbent MP who secured 14,356 votes.

The Presidential elections also saw the NDC flagbearer, the former President John Dramani Mahama obtaining 20,093 votes and the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu, the NPP flagbearer securing 16,556 votes.
