Ayakomaso (Bono), Dec. 26, GNA – Sixteen teenagers between 13 and 17 years who surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ were baptised into the Christian faith by the Youth Division of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Bono Regional Division.

Comprising 10 girls and seven boys, the teenagers were among the about 400 young people who participated in the six-day December Retreat of the Church, held at Ayakomaso near Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region.

The baptism was to seal their salvation after availing themselves to bible-led preaching and teachings at the retreat.

Pastors Francis Kodom and Charles Ollu of the Agozokrom and New-Dormaa locations of the church, respectively, led the new convents through the baptism as enshrined in enjoined in the Christian faith and teachings of the church.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the retreat grounds. Pastor Kodom said: “The teenagers have now seen the light”, describing their salvation as the best legacy God had bequeathed to them.

He admonished them to remain watchful, attend church activities regularly and read their bibles always to empower them to remain in the faith.

Pastor Robert Lugushie, the Bono Regional Youth Coordinator of the Church, urged the youth leaders of the various districts to draw closer to the youth and guide them academically and spiritually.

“Let’s keep an eye on them and ensure their spiritual development and progress,” he said, and commended the leadership for their relentless efforts to win more souls for Christ and advance the Kingdom of God.
