Ho, Dec. 24, GNA – The National Road Safety Authority has appealed to drivers to comply with road traffic regulations to avoid accidents during and after the festivities.
The Authority asked them to avoid over-spending, careless driving and wrongful overtaking to ensure accident-free season.
Madam Joana Fafa Ayer, Volta Regional Director of the Authority, who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said road safety was a shared responsibility.
She said the Authority was carrying out an operation on the theme: “Operation Comply,” to ensure that drivers and other road users respect the traffic rules and regulations.
The Director cautioned drivers against disrespect for passengers and other road users, entreating them to abide by the laws for the safety of all road users.
Madam Ayer also cautioned the public against celebrating Christmas activities on the road so that no life would be lost through accident.
