Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints renovates facilities at Tamale Children’s Home

Tamale, Dec 02, GNA – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has renovated the Boys’ Dormitory and Kitchen facilities of the Tamale Children’s Home to enhance the quality of life of children in the Home. 

Elder Isaac Morrsion, Second Counsellor, Africa West Area Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaking during the handing over of the renovated facilities at Tamale Children’s Home, was hopeful that the facilities would provide comfort and support to many children for years to come. 

He said, “it has been a true privilege to support a cause that enhances the quality of life for the children here” adding “As we hand over these renovated facilities, we do so with the hope that our donations will bless these children today and for generations to come.” 

He said as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, “It is our mission to promote goodness and support the social, economic, and spiritual well-being of all of God’s children” adding the Church consistently sought opportunities to aid communities across Tamale, Ghana, and West Africa. 

He appealed to the managers of the facility and community members to take safe care of the facility. 

Madam Annunciata Anglaaere, Acting Northern Regional Director, Department of Social Welfare, expressed gratitude to the Church for the support and said the Church’s assistance had been instrumental in providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for children in the facility. 

She said, “The renovated dormitory and kitchen will greatly improve their daily lives, providing them with a sense of dignity and hope for a brighter future.” 

She added that “We are thankful not only for the financial support but also for the time, effort, and expertise that the Church members have shared with us.”
