Kpone, Dec. 30, GNA – The Kpone Methodist Junior High School has received 100 dual desks from Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited, a free zone logistics firm, to facilitate teaching and learning.

Mr. Felix Yaw Banny, the Chief Executive Officer for Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited, mentioned that, for the past two years, the company decided to impact society through its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Mr. Banny added that as part of their CSR, they donated the dual desks to the school to help solve its furniture needs.

He said last year, they donated 2,500 exercise books to the school, adding that it was during that visit that they realised the school lacks adequate desks for the pupils, hence their decision to donate the desks.

He mentioned that it was a major thing the school needed and an opportunity for Centrepoint to show love to the school.

Mr. Banny added that in the business perspective, the CSR project was to improve the future workforce of the company, as the pupils would be comfortable in schools and work towards improving their studies, adding that socially it would help the children to realise a sense of belonging in the society, which will influence love among themselves.

Madam Juliana Asante Sarpong, the headmistress for the Kpone Methodist JHS, expressed gratitude to the organisation for the gesture.

Madam Sarpong said their major problem was the lack of fencing of the school, making it a thoroughfare for intruders who distract the pupils during lesson hours.

She therefore appealed to organisations and individuals to support them deliver quality education to the pupils.
