Bibiani (WN/R), Dec. 05, GNA – The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has held a dialogue for parliamentary candidates in Bibiani to deliberate on how to ensure political stability in the Constituency.

The dialogue was attended by Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng, the incumbent Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for the area, and Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo, the Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mrs Martha Nneka Opara, the Municipal Director of NCCE, said the dialogue was to provide a platform for the candidates to articulate their vision and policies for the constituents to make informed decisions on election day.

The discussions were centered on issues of development concerns like employment, education, health, roads, water and sanitation, and infrastructure, among others.

Both candidates assured the electorate to engage in decent politics and campaign based on key issues of national interest.

Mr Edmund Jones Afutu, the Municipal Police Commander for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, tasked both candidates to advise their followers to stay away from any acts that could affect the peaceful atmosphere in the constituency, before, during and after the election

“My outfit is ready to deal with troublemakers before, during, and after the election within the Constituency so we must all ensure that we comply with all the laws governing the election,” he said.
