Atebubu, (Bono East), Dec. 7, GNA – Madam Faustina Kyeremaa, a-52-year-old petty trader at Atebubu in the Atebubu/Amantin constituency of the Bono East Region says the integrity and hard work of the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia inspires her to cast her ballot.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after casting her ballot at the ‘ATECO DEMO SCH A’ polling station at Atebubu, Mad Kyeremaa who was the first to vote among the electorates who had formed queues at the voting centre said, “I want to vote for Bawumia to continue the good work”.

She said she arrived at the polling station early in the morning to vote for the Vice President and return to continue with her petty trading.

Mad Abigail Tuah, the Presiding Officer at the polling station told the GNA that 522 eligible voters were expected to cast their ballot at the centre, saying voting started exactly 0700 hours without hitches.

As at 1015 hours, she said 134 of the electorate had voted, and others in queues waiting patiently to vote.

There was a security presence as well as agents of the various political parties. The GNA gathered that voting was also progressing at other polling stations in the constituency.
