Accra, Dec. 22, GNA -The Battor Citizens Development Association (BACIDA) has congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his victory at the 2024 polls.
The Association also congratulated Mr Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament-elect (MP) for the North Tongu Constituency, for retaining his seat.
This is contained in a press statement from the Association signed by Ex W.O 1 Bright Segbefia, its President, and copied to the Ghana News Agency.
According to the statement, the North Tongu Constituency gave the President-elect and MP its biggest presidential and parliamentary score of 93.3 per cent of the total votes cast.
It said the high vote was a testament to the high expectations of the people in the Constituency.
The statement assured the President-elect and MP of the Association’s support in the development of the Battor and the North Tongu Constituency as a whole, particularly the establishment of university in the area.
“We reiterate our pledge of unconditional readiness and support for you to fulfil your cherished promises to put up university at Battor, and to compensate the 2023 flood victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage,” the statement added.
