Basare Traditional Area prepares for New Year with cleaning exercise

Tatale (N/R), Dec 27, GNA- The Basare Traditional Area is gearing up to welcome the new year with a clean and refreshed environment, thanks to a community cleaning exercise scheduled for this coming Saturday.  

Ubor Richard Gariba Yankonsor II (Regent) of Basare Traditional Area at Tatale in the Northern region, in collaboration with the elders has announced the general cleaning exercise, which aims to rid the community of waste and refuse accumulated throughout the year, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.  

The exercise is part of the traditional area’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability, community development and a healthier living environment for residents.  

According to the Overlord, the cleaning exercise is a crucial step towards maintaining the community’s beauty and appeal.  

“As we prepare to usher in the new year, it is essential that we come together to clean our environment and make our community a better place,” Ubor Yankonsor added.  

The overlord urged everyone to gather at the designated assembly points early in the morning, equipped with cleaning tools and equipment on December 28, 2024.  

The community cleaning exercise is expected to bring together residents of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a sense of community spiritedness and collective responsibility.
