Akufo-Addo to deliver last State of Nation Address on January 3

Accra, Dec 31, GNA – Outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will present his last Message on the State of the Nation (SONA) to Parliament in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution on Friday, January 03, 2025. 

A statement issued by Mr David Sebastian Damoah, Director, Media Relations of Parliament, copied to the Ghana News Agency said on Monday, January 6, 2025, there would be the dissolution of the Eighth Parliament and the inauguration of the Nineth Parliament. 

It said in accordance with security protocol, Parliament would be granting accreditations to media men and women who would be covering the event on the said dates.  

It said in view of this, media Houses were kindly requested to submit names of their staff who would be covering the event for purposes of accreditation.  

It said the list must be submitted to the Director, Media Relations, not later than Tuesday, 31st December 2024.  

The statement said it was important to note that no media person would be granted access without been accredited.
