Accra, Dec. 26, GNA – Ghanaian entrepreneur, Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, has completed her second attempt to break the record for the longest singing period by an individual.

Her adventure began on December 21 and ended on December 26, 2024, at the Heroes Park Annex in Kumasi with a singing time of 121 hours and 39 minutes.

The young Ghanaian star would be hoping to shatter India’s Sunil Waghmare’s Guinness World Record (GWR) singathon record of 105 hours, achieved in 2012.

Afua Asantewaa, in a Facebook post, expressed gratitude to all Ghanaians who came to support her second bid to break the longest singing time by an individual.

“I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your amazing support during my Guinness World Records Longest Singing Marathon Individual attempt.

“Your energy, your encouragement, and your love fueled my spirit and gave me the strength to push through the challenges.

“Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this incredible journey. I am so proud to have represented Ghana on the global stage, and I am honoured to have shared this experience with all of you,” said Afua Asantewaa, who is a Tourism Ambassador.

Afua Asantewaa is expected to submit her second to the Guinness World Record (GWR) team, who will evaluate the attempt and pronounce their verdict.
