Techiman, (Bono East), Dec.7, GNA – Voting has started in the 11 constituencies of the Bono East Region, with a total of 672,850 electorates expected to cast their ballot.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman, the regional capital, Dr Gabriel Dei Yeboah, the Bono East Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC) said the region had 1,520 polling stations.

So far, he said the voting exercise in the region had not encountered major challenges and urged the electorates to endeavour to behave well when they go to their respective polling stations.

Meanwhile, during a visit to some polling stations in the Techiman South Constituency, the GNA noticed that many of the polling stations had long queues, as anxious voters waited patiently to cast their ballot.

There was security presence and agents of the various political parties at all the polling stations visited in the constituency.
