Fiapre, (Bono), Dec. 07, GNA –The electorates and election officials at the Berlin Top Temporal Structure Polling Stations at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Constituency began voting with prayers for a peaceful general election.
As the anxious voters who had arrived at the polling centre before time formed queues to wait for the commencement of voting, Mr Amoako Frimpong, the Presiding Officer at the Center “Two B” took the opportunity to educate the electorate on the voting process.
He asked them not to hesitate to request another ballot paper if they spoiled their ballot papers while voting and urged them to remain patient and cooperate with the election officials, assuring that every eligible voter would cast his or her ballot.
One of the security personnel who addressed the voters on a condition of anonymity reminded them that the goal of the general election was for “Ghana to win.”
He assured them that the security presence was just to maintain law and order and not to intimidate any voter.
Voting, however, commenced at Centres “Two A” and “Two B” on time.
