Agyakaamanso (WR), Nov. 22, GNA – Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, has commissioned a newly built 96-shed market facility for the Agyakaamanso community in the Amenfi Central District of the Western Region.

Speaking at a ceremony to commission the facility, he stated that the government was focused on improving the economic fortunes of Ghanaians through infrastructural development like the new market shed.

“This will help traders to improve upon their various businesses, and market women in Agyakaamanso will no longer travel to other nearby communities to transact business,” he added.

Mr. Darko-Mensah, thus, implored the people to renew the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s mandate in the December 7 elections to do more for developmental projects them.

Mr. Alexander Baidoo, the Amenfi Central District Chief Executive (DCE), commended the Chiefs and the former DCE for their contributions and support towards the realisation of the project.

He said the market women in the area were operating in an authorised place along the street in the town, resulting in unforeseen issues, and that the new facility had come to resolve such issues.

He appealed to the electorate to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the Parliamentary Candidate, Dr Albert Wiredu for more developmental projects in the area.

Mr. Anthony Mensah, the Contractor for the project, appealed to the people to keep the place clean and healthy to make it attractive and guarantee its longevity.
