Accra, Nov. 5, GNA – Three Ghanaian Para Athletes are in South Korean to participate in the LA28 Paralympic training programmes scheduled for November 5-13, 2024.

They included two Para Swimmers Promise Aheto and Bryan Akoto, a Para-Badminton Player Judith Adu, with Micheal Obeng as a Media officer.

In a statement copied to GNA Sports, the programme was under sponsorship of the National Paralympic Committee of South Korea in partnership with the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana.

It said the training camp was designed to foster the development of the athletes and build their capabilities in a range of programs, notably a sports academy with activities in Para-Badminton, Swimming, and Taekwondo.

The programme would also allow the team to learn and experience Korean culture as well as networking.

However, the SKNPC was responsible for the total cost of the trip and related activities.

In 2022, two athletes and one official from the NPC-Ghana benefited from the same initiative for the Paris 2024.
