Accra, Nov 10, GNA – The Tema District of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) has held a joint service to climax its 40 Days Fasting and Prayers.
The Programme on the theme “Praying for the Peace of Ghana: Before, During and After the Elections”, was geared towards praying towards Ghana’s December 7 polls.
It was attended by the eight branches of GCCI Tema District; namely Grace Temple, Maranatha Assembly, Tema Main Assembly, Tema Newtown Assembly, Prampram Assembly, City of Refuge Temple, Mount Zion Assembly and Mexico City Cell Group.
Reverend Ernest Quaye, the Resident Pastor of GCCI City Refuge Temple in his homily called for Christian unity.
He urged the various Christian denominations to unit and pray towards a peaceful December 7 polls.
He appealed to Ghanaians to ensure that the December 7 polls was conducted in peaceful atmosphere.
He reiterated that Jesus Christ came as the peace of the troubled world and that he had sent his followers to go and reconcile the whole world to God.
Adding that Christian unity was essential for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He urged Christians to forgive one another and to ensure that they live in harmony with one another.
Rev Paul Morgan-Adorsu, the Tema District Pastor of GCCI, appealed to pastors to forgive their Church members who had offended them.
He also advised Church Members who had been offended by their pastors to forgive them and reconcile with them.
Rev Daniel Samuel Edze of GCCI Grace Temple, who ministered the Holy Communion to the congregation, encouraged them to prepare for Jesus Christ’s second coming by living righteously.
The service was held to climax the Church’s 40 days Fasting and Prayers of the Church, and to enable the Tema District of GCCI to come together for regular fellowship.
It was also a thanksgiving service for the late Deacon Manfred Kumah, a former Men’s Ministry Leader of GCCI Maranatha Assembly, who passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 58.
He was survived by wife Mama Christine Kumah, and their three sons: Courage, Shepherd and Shelter.
