Sokpoe (V/R), Nov. 29, GNA – Togbega Kadzi Zogah II, the President of the Sokpoe Traditional Council, has urged youths in Tongu to avoid electoral violence, emphasizing the importance of peace and unity in the community.
He said this at a thanksgiving service held by the Chiefs and people of Sokpoe to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Akosombo and Kpong Hydro Dams spillage and to express gratitude to God for their lives and the continued peace in the traditional area.
Togbega Zogah encouraged the youth to be ambassadors of peace and promote peaceful coexistence, especially during and after the upcoming general elections.
He reminded the youth that violence and conflict had no place in the democratic process and that their actions should reflect the values of peace, respect, and tolerance.
Togbega Zogah also emphasized the importance of respecting the rule of law and the electoral process, urging the youth to channel their energies into constructive and peaceful activities.
“We have one Ghana. And we should all try to protect the peace we enjoy. Don’t let any politician lead you astray to engage in any form of violence on that day,” Togbega stated.
