Tema, Nov. 30, GNA – A total of 1,150 electorates are expected to participate in the special voting exercise on Monday, December 2, at the Tema East and Tema Central constituencies.
The total comprises 693 voters for Tema East and 457 special voters for Tema Central.
The special voting exercise would be opened for security officials, media personnel, and electoral officials who applied and verified their details during the application period at district offices of the Electoral Commission.
Mr Manasseh Ofosuhene Asante, the Tema Metropolitan Electoral Officer, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), noting that the Tema Community One Police Station and Community Eight Police Station would serve as polling centres for Tema East and Tema Central, respectively, for the special voting.
Mr Asante indicated that the total number of voters on the register for the general election for Tema East was 108,153, while Tema Central had 68,191.
The December 7 election would be conducted in 236 polling stations for Tema East, and 147 polling stations for Tema East.
