SOCO is a five-year World Bank-funded project aimed at improving the social and economic resilience of the Northern Region of the Gulf of Guinea countries.

It is being implemented in six regions, including Northern, Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Oti regions with the aim to strengthen local institutions, increase economic opportunities, prevent conflicts from spilling over from the Sahel, reduce vulnerability to climate change among others.

He was optimistic that the new office space would serve as an inspiration to Management to work harder to achieve the project’s objectives within the stipulated time.

Mr Samuel Forson, Tamale Zonal Coordinator of the SOCO Project, who received the keys to the facility, commended all stakeholders in the implementation of the project and said it would help to enhance the administration of the project and ultimately improve the livelihoods of communities.
