Suke (UW/R), Nov. 12, GNA – Dr Titus Kofi Beyuo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Lambussie, has appealed for peace before, during and after the December polls.
It was important for the Electoral Commission (EC) to ensure the December 7 elections were free and fair for peace to reign, he said.
Addressing some of the communities as part of his campaign tour of the constituency, Dr Beyuo noted that peaceful, free and fair elections will strengthen the country’s democratic credence.
Dr Beyuo made the appeal during a campaign rally at Suke where he advised the youth to eschew political and electoral violence ahead of the December polls and rather build ethnic tolerance to ensure social cohesion.
The youth must be ambassadors of peace in their campaigns to promote the needed peace since they had their future to protect, he said.
He called on the constituents to vote massively for the NDC to win both the parliamentary and the presidential elections to ensure good governance for Ghanaians.
Dr Beyuo promised to provide quality healthcare services in the constituency if voted as the parliamentary candidate and that he would make medical supplies available while supporting health education initiatives to promote preventive care.
“The health and well-being of the people is paramount and providing access to healthcare will improve their livelihoods,” he said.
