NCCE engages political party youth activists at Tatali-Sangule on peaceful elections

Tatali (N/R), Nov. 23, GNA – The Tatali-Sangule District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged youth activists of political parties to foster peace amongst them as the country approaches this year’s elections. 

It formed part of efforts to preserve peace in the area as well as prevent violent extremists from entering the community during this period of elections. 

Mr Peter Paul Amoah, Tatali-Sangule District Police Commander, who was a resource person, speaking during the event at Tatali, expressed the need for community members to cooperate with the Police to enforce law and order in the area. 

He assured the community that the security agencies were ready to provide the necessary security to ensure peaceful elections. 

Mr Alhassan Adams, Tatali-Sangule District Director of NCCE lauded the youth activists for their enthusiasm during the event, saying it showed how much they cherished the peace in the area. 

Eyram Napoleon, an Opinion Leader in the community who was also a resource person, expressed the need for the community members to tolerate one another and not to be influenced by anyone to foment trouble during the elections. 

In attendance were the Northern Regional Director of NCCE, the District Director of NADMO and a representative from the district office of the Electoral Commission.
