National Theatre ready to thrill audience with ‘December in Ghana’ events 

Accra, Nov.18, GNA – The National Theatre of Ghana in collaboration with its three resident groups will thrill audience with a line-up of events in December. 

The institution’s 2024 “December in Ghana” calendar features an array of performances, running from 12th December through to 21st December 2024. 

It includes Ghanaian traditional and contemporary dances, and live presentation of musical and stage drama. 

The 2024 December in Ghana event, according to organisers, aims at creating awareness of the Ghanaian Art, Cultural Values and “generate pride and respect” for the nation’s heritage. 

“It is also designed to entertain both local and foreign cultural enthusiasts and enable them to explore Ghana’s unique culture, art and entertainment,” a release outlining the activities said. 

The programme include Highlife Jam by the National Symphony Orchestra on the 12th of December, followed by a contemporary dance presentation by the National Dance Company with the theme: “Esoyor” on the 13th of December.  

The National Drama Company would also present the “Bride of the Gods” on the 14th of December. The National Dance Company will present another Dance Drama with a theme “King’s Dilemma”, a very hilarious piece. 

“The song of Umbele” would be presented by the National Drama Company on the 21st of Dec 2024. 

All the events are scheduled to take place at the National Theatre Exhibition Hall and the Mini-amphi Theatre (Folk’s place) at 6pm each day.
