The residents, speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview said, the development is counter-productive, and needs be resolved immediately.

Mr. Mathew Nwobi, a retired educationist appealed to the Members of Parliament to respect their people, who voted them into power and make things easier for the vulnerable in the country.

MacLean Dormey, a youth leader of Krachi West added that it is sad and dangerous to see Parliament, the representatives of the people doing the bidding of their political parties than the people’s business.

“Where is the future of our democracy?”, he asked.

Others also expressed worry over the current vacant seat controversy in Parliament.

“It delays the process of developing the country,” they lamented.

The residents therefore appealed to Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin to reconvene Parliament without any further delay.
