Juaboso NCCE holds inter-party parliamentary candidate dialogue

Juaboso (WNR), Nov. 15, GNA – The Juaboso District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in collaboration with the Inter- Party Dialogue Committee, has organised an Inter Party Parliamentary Candidate Dialogue to discuss strategies to ensure peace in the 2024 general elections.

The meeting gave a platform for participants to dialogue and forge collaborations to address electoral census, promote tolerance, mitigate potential conflicts within the constituency.

Mr. Stephen Tikoli, the Juaboso District NCCE Director said the meeting was part of the Commission’s effort to initiate proactive measures to foster peaceful elections and ensure political stability in the constituency and the country.

He added, ” Everyone must be interested in the peace and stability of the constituency in this electioneering period. Therefore, we should come together and ensure we preserve the peace we are currently enjoying in the constituency “

Mr. Tikoli encouraged the political parties to embark on an issue- based campaign to help the electorates make informed decisions for the development of the district.

The Parliamentary Candidate for NPP in the Juaboso Constituency, Dr. Alexander Ampaabeng, pledged to preach peace to his followers to ensure peaceful conduct of the December 7 polls.

He promised to make Juaboso the best in the Western North Region.

In attendance were the Juaboso Police commander, leaders from various youth groups and representatives from religious bodies.

Meanwhile the NDC Parliamentary candidate who is the incumbent MP, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh did not participate in the dialogue.
