By Simon Asare

Accra, Nov.17, GNA – Accra Hearts of Oak recorded their third successive win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League after edging Karela United 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

An early first-half strike by Hamza Issah was enough to secure all three points for the Phobians, who moved third on the standings with 18 points. Nations FC handed Asante Kotoko their fourth successive loss of the season after edging them 2-0 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Faisal Charwetey and Nafiu Sulemana were on target for Nations FC as they recorded all three points to leapfrog Bibiani Gold Stars into first position.

For Asante Kotoko, they slip into ninth position as they continue their dreadful form over the past few weeks with pressure-mounting coach Prosper Ogum. Gold Stars suffered their first defeat of the season after they were humbled by Medeama SC 2-0 at the TNA Stadium.

Derrick Fordjour and Michael Enu scored a goal each to deliver all three points for the former Ghana Premier League champions, who moved into fourth position.
