Papagya (C/R), Nov.13, GNA – Thirty- one Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compounds have received has installed solar panels to improve quality healthcare to the people.
Mr Eric Etodur Nyanteh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency who provided the solar panels, said the move was to transform healthcare delivery, ensure uninterrupted medical services and improve the lives of the people.
Commissioning one of the projects at Papagya, a community in AAK, he underscored that the installation of the panels would enable the health facilities to store vaccines and medications at optimal temperature and provide health care services regardless of power outages.
He therefore charged the heads of various healthcare centres to take good care of the facilities to prolong their life span, saying the installation was in fulfilment of a promise made to improve healthcare in the constituency.
In another development, the PC donated packages of food items including rice, sardines, and cooking oil to about 300 widows and the aged from some communities, such as Nkantanan, Asemase, Akokokrom and Abura Tsetsekasum.
Mr Nyanteh also presented 20 bags of cement as his contribution towards the construction of a durbar grounds for the people of Papagya.
Mr Kweku Aidoo, resident was grateful to the PC saying, his good works would speak for him in the upcoming general elections.
Mrs Felicia Agyekum, a nurse was excited about the project and said it would improve quality healthcare in the various communities.
